Take Two Interactive has just issued a
press release announcing
Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. From the T2 release:
Both the Wii and Xbox 360 versions will retain the wit and deep gameplay of the previously released [PS2 version] and will boast additional new content.
That sound you're hearing is the gnashing of teeth and rustling of legal papers coming from the direction of Miami. Is there anyone who doesn't recall last October's
courtroom zaniness which accompanied the original PS2 version?
No date has been specified, but expect the new Bully editions sometime during the coming winter.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the US, a certain attorney will soon be able to soon build himself a new house.
In before Jacko declares that this will never see store shelves.
I can't imagine HOW a slingshot could be represented with the existing controllers on the Wii. Come to think of it, for any other game, I can't imagine a bow for bow and arrows either.
However, I didn't buy Bully when it hit the PS2 because, at the time, I had to sell my PS2. Now, I have an Xbox 360 and I would much prefer it on that system anyway. So I really will be looking to pre-order that one when it's available.

Now if I can get a proper, new GTA expereince on my Wii Console, I'll be pretty happy.
Okay, maybe that was a flaw with the disc or something, though I saw no scrathes. But still.
i doubt on an increase in graphics... i mean, this is the wii were talking about... the graphical improvment that can be obtained on the wii from the PS2 is rather minimal, so much such that it woudln't be worth rockstar's time to actually upgrade it... if it JUST for the 360, then yes, there would be plenty rockstar could do... besides, it's a lot more profitable to just re-release the game with new content then to upgrade the graphics, especially since the game wasn't released for nintendo or microsoft.
Good point.
I bet whacko Jacko will try again since it has Wii controls now, stating the slingshot will be showing up even more now since you hold an imaginary one by using the wii-mote.
"Moped Jesus" is a funny phrase. Kind of like "Jack Thompson, Attorney".
"I can’t imagine HOW a slingshot could be represented with the existing controllers on the Wii. Come to think of it, for any other game, I can’t imagine a bow for bow and arrows either."
You can't imagine it? I think I've figured it out. However, I think I'd have a tough time putting into words.
Nah, let's let Jack figure out how this version will trai nthe kiddies ot kill with a slingshot.
On another tangent, the Wii would make a great control for a bow or slingshot. Imagine, holding down the trigger on the Wiimote whilst pulling back the nunchuck as the drawstring, and then releasing the trigger to release the arrow/shot. The longer you take in drawing back on the string (with limits, of course) the more accurate your shot, taking into account your aim with the Wiimote. Simple
P.S. OMG I COPYRIGHT THAT IDEA THOUGH I'M PRETTY SURE SOME DEV IS ALREADY WORKING ON IT :P
Hmm I forgot to mention he was on route 11
Something's ringing a bell...I think I remember reading in Game Informer some time back that the bow and arrows work exactly like that in Twilight Princess for the Wii. Can anyone who owns the game confirm or deny this? Either that, or the article was on another upcoming Wii game, maybe Turok?
Creativity. And I believe they are capable of doing such a thing.
But I don't think the game would be good again. I beat the game and let my friend borrow it, and I don't think I want to go back playing it again.
The Wiimote has strong potential for exercising one's muscles through movement, but exercise through the weight and stress just isn't there. For example, you can simulate the movement of swinging a baseball bat, but the actual weight of it isn't there. You can simulate casting out a fishing rod, but the actual resistance of trying to bring in a fish on the line just isn't there.
With a bow/slingshot (and I'm not 100 percent sure of the full capability of the Wiimotes), you might be able to have them together, then pull one back to simulate pulling back the string, but the actual resistance isn't there. And somehow, pushing the button to let go of the string just takes away from the experience too. Letting go of the Wiimote acting as the string just makes the Wiimote fall, even if the game says you've released the arrow/slug/whatever flying. The simulation kinda falls short.

Better would be holding a button on the nunhcaku attachment to hold the string, and releasing it to release the string, but you still don't have the resistance unless another attachment is made.
Actually, I was thinking the other way around. The Nunchuck is stationary, while the Wii Remote is held stationary. Hold B, pull the Wii Remote back, and release B.
Now that Manhunt 2 is on ice, I guess it'll have to be Bully
It works fine, although use the C button might be cool as you could pretend you're using a real thing... more so.
there are no sensors in the wii controllers that tell it how far apart the mote is from the nun, so a close emulation of the sling shot like that isn't really possible.
As to Bully's availability on Wii, I'm sure there will be resultant problems, since Take-Two/Rockstar is now led by a a dilettante, Strauss Zelnick, who thinks Manhunt 2 is "fine art."
Here's an idea: How about if the gay sex in the game this time around features a slingshot?
I'm hoping they utilize the wiimote efficiently, rather than focus on graphics.
Might not be as fast as repeatedly pushing a button, but it'd be pretty neat, I guess.
The original Xbox version was cancelled as the console was reaching the end of it's life cycle. Releasing the game for it would have been like buying new furniture for a house that is going to be demolished. Releasing it for the 360 allows them to put in new content and avoid any backwards compatibility issues that could have arisen had it been released on the original xbox.
As for the gay sex in the game....oh wait, that's right, there is none. Unless kissing is now regarded as sex?
Gay sex? Last I remember, the original Bully only gave you the OPTION to kiss a boy, and that was it.
I'm sure Rockstar Games, due to their recent troubles, will ensure that the game is rated T and is widely available, much to your discontent.
I'm also sure your trolling ass will be once again banned within a few minute, much to our content
HOOAH!!
I thought that too.
@Jack-ass
If kissing is sex, then not only is every parent guilty of molesting their kid(s), but every Christian is gay, or at least bi-sexual. "Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss." (I Thessalonians 5:26. See also Romans 16:16; I Corinthians 16:20; II Corinthians 13:12; II Peter 5:14)
Please ban the crazy old man lurking around here-- again. Thanks.
@ Everyone else:
IGNORE HIM. Let him become a victim of his own irrationality and ignorance. He hasn't won a single video game case since he started his charade. He's only hurting himself in his arrogance and misery.
@ The story:
Nice. It's good to see so many games being ported over to the Wii. I can't help but wonder: would it be economical for publishers to send over older PS2 titles (i.e. Silent Hill 2-4, GTA trilogy)?
Second, he didn't use his signature du jour: Jack Thompson, Attorney and You're Not.
Rockstar games has learned form their mistakes. Bully will be release with a T rating as before.
It ain't him.
For one thing, he forgot to sign.
I can't imagine John Bruce using a smiley face, even if it were converted from the typed version.
Of course, John Bruce comparing two boys kissing as "gay sex" was long since raised, and debunked. Way back during the Bully lawsuit as well as the letter John Bruce claimed to have sent to the FTC's head boss.
Anything is possible. Of course, I've had loads to say about John Bruce recently as well as in the past regarding Bully and John Bruce's bullying and abusing the law and other citizens.

P.S. Be thankful I'm just a poster and not someone in power. I'd ban anyone else for mentioning "dentist" ever again. (Ok, maybe not, but I'm in that mood.)
