ECA Updates...

September 13, 2007
A couple of housekeeping notes...

We've updated the GamePolitics Forums to include a new informational section, "ECA Interface" within the ECA area.

Also, a pair of ECA staffers, Seth Stebbins and Thomas Valentino, will be patrolling the ECA forums to assist members, answer questions, etc. Welcome, Seth and Thomas!

Since the CNN/YouTube Republican Presidential Debate has been delayed untl Nov. 28th, we're going to devote that banner space in the sidebar to other stuff for now. But keep thinking about ideas for game-related video submissions for the candidates as you'll be reading more about this as we draw closer to the debate.

The pic at left with Hal Halpin, by the way, was taken last month at the PAX show by ECA member Jordan Roher and posted to his Flickr photo set from PAX.

Well done, Jordan! Going forward, we'd love to have gamers & ECA members send in their show pix.

I think I will have to pony up the money for a membership soon.

OH! He's wearing a Jehova's Witnesses t-shirt from vgcats, oy. Nice.

You should pony up the cash for a membership. It leaves you with a warm feeling inside, as well as a shirt and pen and stuff.

Appreciate the mention, Dennis & Hal. Feeling find of mortified, kind of honored, kind of terrified. As always, thanks for the great job you guys do here.

Shameless self promotion:

ZenI felt Brutal Legends was a funny & beautiful look at the world of rock from Double Fines point of view. The only parts I wasn't hot for were the RTS bits as it felt forced. Otherwise fantastic.02/12/2012 - 1:34pm
DorthLousPassed 1.5M$. And I'd also say that Brutal Legend is far from being a bad game. I just think it was a few levels under what people expected from the people working on the project.02/11/2012 - 8:25am
TechnogeekBrutal Legend wasn't bad so much as "marketing had no idea how the game actually played", causing it to suffer accordingly.02/10/2012 - 10:38pm

GuamishI think it is in good hands. Tim did a game for the GDC award show and that was fun for how short it was.02/10/2012 - 12:22pm
Andrew EisenIt'll be tragic if the game ultimately sucks.02/10/2012 - 12:17pm
