I’m too tired of Rockstar and all their crap to supper another game that will be praised by the game-magazine and witch-hunted by politicians. No doubt that it’s a good game, but I’m just sick and tired of the endless coverage about it.
Could you not take the time you're using to look at the love/hate coverage and use that time to instead play the game?
If I get sent a review copy I'll naturally play it, otherwise I'm quite disinterested.
XBOX 360 version, by the way.
I know both versions will have multiplayer but I know that the 360 version will charge you to play online and nothing has been stated about charges for the PS3 version.
I am hoping they don't.
It also has not been stated that there will be a difference between the PS3 and 360 DLC versions, well, at least nothing concrete has been stated on this.
It will be interesting to see the difference between the two once released. Personally, I am very curious as to which machine will have the better benchmarks.

You can always buy an XFPS if you don't want to wait so you can use a keyboard and mouse on a 360 or ps3.

No doubt that it's a good game, but I'm just sick and tired of the endless coverage about it. So, I'm just going to go back to playing The World Ends With You. I'll worry about GTA some other time. Chances are we'll see another one soon enough,
But, yes, I will be buying it for the XBox 360.

Previously I was expecting to have to wait as I had been told by the store that all of their pre-order units were gone, but was called up on Saturday to be told the were getting extra stock :D
Unfortunately, I think the sore throat/flu I appear to be getting may get much worse tomorrow, forcing me to stay home from work...
Thing is, though, I'm not exactly a big fan of GTA. I got Vice City because of the whole 80's vibe with homages to Miami Vice and Scarface. I didn't even look at San Andreas as the whole gangsta/Hip-Hop angle didn't appeal to me. But when Hot Coffee broke and they started pulling the game off the shelves, I went out and bought a copy as soon as I could for the collectible value alone. To this day I still haven't played it, but I'm glad I own an initial release copy. :)
GTA IV doesn't seem to be quite as big or as epic in scope as San Andreas was, though. Sure thre graphics look nice and some aspects of gameplay - like combat for example - have been improved, but unless there's a really compelling reason for me to go out and play it (other than to spite JT), I'll pass for now. I'm more interested right now in the PC version of Mass Effect and upcoming Xbox 360 releases like Ninja Gaiden II, Brutal Legend and the recently announced Mortal Kombat Vs. The DC Universe.
I bought mine in honor of Jack's impending disbarment.
but it will be mine(on the 360) eventualy!
btw. What sidebar? Did GP forget to create it or is it something lame like an ie7 specific activex control?
I still say MK vs DC would have saved the series... ten years ago. Right now it just seems... ugh.
The multiplayer modes alone will make this staple on XBox Live.
I am so glad that the 360 version is confirmed to have 2 downloadable content packs.
GTA 4 is the main game I have been wanting this year out of all those other great games coming out this year.
Yeah, I tend to agree. Why didn't they do this earlier when Capcom was doing games with Marvel? Oh well, better late than never.
GEARS OF WAR 2 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
GTA4 is not big enough of a deal for me to go nuts over and use the CAPS lock for awesome.
Getting in first thing tomorrow morning.
