More on topic, that was so funny, and made by a "controversial" person anyway, so does that mean that JT will call this "the devil's work"? If he does, we'll finally know for sure that he's completely loopy.
Loved how he incorperated many of Thompson's TV interviews in there, because those are the basis of Thompson's character, that he does whatever it takes to make sure his agenda is known by every and anyone, that he is the center of the universe.
What's funny is that it's no surprise he uses the "Video games made [x person] do it" bit for prosecuting otherwise clearly insane troubled kids, he uses the "God made me do it" bit to justify his otherwise clearly insane troubled person. The irony is the very people he hates, in mindset, he is himself. Games have little to do with him or them.

Rav3: It's not dissimilar from the tactics that were used against roleplaying games (D&D, etc). Delusional, sad people like Pat Pulling and Thomas Radecki claimed that D&D would lead kids into satanism and black magic. Jack Chick still holds this opinion.

Does anyone know where I can find it, or if it is even available? I am deeply curious to see some of his older...work. Yes, we will leave it at 'work' for lack of a better term.

Heh, I grew up seeing musicians like Mick Jagger (did that man ever have a redeeming visual feature?) and David Bowie (in full Spiders from Mars regalia), you sort of develop a thick skin regarding the appearance of performers, it's part of the ethos ;)

Wow... that singer sounded like he was trying hard not to break off into an angry rant about JT. He sounds so pissed you can hear the suppressed rage in his voice.
Have you seen the video for that inspired this parody? It's brutal. Bright Eyes looks like he is about ready to tear the mic stand down and pull a Hendrix on the guitar (I watched a Tonight Show with Jay Leno clip. Not sure if that is the linked one at the moment). There are a few more videos out there, and he looks equally pissed in all of them. The singer did a terrific job of conveying that sense of disdain and repulsion over.
After educating myself (I'm not much of a bright eyes fan, his voice annoys me. Makes one wonder how I like Kurt Cobain's), I'd have to say the other guy seems much, much angrier. Of course that's opinion for you, and you know what they say about opinions.

Thanks to everyone for posting. Obviously there are some real Jack Thompson fans here - myself among them. I was inspired to write this after reading Thompson's book "Out of Harm's Way" because the book really alternates between Jack's personal culture war and his conversations with Jesus Christ. I found it terribly interesting how he wrote about feeling Jesus working through him as he sues people. So the question became, WWJS - who would Jesus sue?

It does bring forward the question of who Thompson blames when things don't go his way, after all, he can hardly say that Jesus made him lose after telling him to sue in the first place.
I suppose that's why he has to blame some kind of conspiracy, if he didn't then he'd have to hold Jesus responsible for the failures as well. So, therefore, the only thing that could possibly go wrong with a court case that was 'divinely inspired' is that a vast over-arching Satanic conspiracy was aligned against him to prevent him from doing Jesus' work.
Which, oddly enough, is more or less what he does claim.

Sounds like Jack is one of those old "fire and brimstone" Christians in the vein of Mrs. Carmody from Stephen King's The Mist. I have the feeling that if something like that actually happened, Jack would be just as quick to call for "expiation."
The only difference is that Mrs. Carmody was actually able to build a following and gain power and influence. Jack never managed to do that. Also for those of you who read or saw The Mist, we all know what ultimately happened to Mrs. Carmody. The legal equivalent will come in a few months.
Yeah, well, that's because mrs. Carmody played on people's fears... except that, in that situation, their fears were VERY real, whereas the fears of video games are so fake he can't even hold a flock. Plus, imagine, if you will, if JT was in mrs. Carmody's place... he'd be without followers in an hour or so, because if anyone would disagree with him, they would be immediately thrown out to the Mist. :P
