Jack Thompson: American Hero?

Wait a minute isn't "freedom Fighter" what they call terroists.......wow if I see mr. jacko coming anywhere near a game store I am running as fast and far away from there as humanly possible and calling in the CFFU (CTU) (counter freedom fighter unit) of course on the bright side there might be some great fireworks????

What is the world coming to?

I would really love to know what mentally unstable group of individuals would even think of putting such a crazy idea together.

Thompson lies to people in order to skew the view in his favor, spreads propoganda at every opportunity, convinces victims and their families to spend large amounts of money to wage his personal war against the video game industry, cries wolf on national television despite what any factual information may prove and before any factual information is discovered about a tragic event, submits items that I can only describe as evidence contributing to the fact that he is completely mentally incapable of being a lawyer as well as someone that should not be allowed to speak publicly on anyone's behalf for whatever reason, creates his own evidence and submits it as proof that video games are bad.... the list goes on and on.

How is such a person labeled "An American Hero" and not on a poster to raise funds for mental institutions all across America?

If there is a petition circulating to have this travesty reversed, please post it on here.  I can find 34228 other individuals that deserve that reward over Jack Thompson just by opening a newspaper, watching the news, or reading any article about the Iraq war.

In my honest opinion, this is more of a slap in the face to Americans everywhere than anything else. 

Anyone can be a hero these days. You could make George Bush a hero of the PRC and a recipient of the Order of Lenin for fuck's sake.

That said, I would like to be the hero of something in Cuba. Love that place.

This is ridiculous.  Jack Thompson isn't about freedom.  He's about censorship.  What are these guys in Utah?  A bunch of idiots?

What is this opposite day?  Jack Thompson is a hero that fights for our freedoms?  If anything he's tried to get rid of them, instead replacing it with a bad, unknowledged perception and unfair treatment of his own wacked out views.  I guess the state of Utah is either filled with wacked out people who agree with his actions or are just behind on these game issues.  As I remember in mid-2006 a Utah newscaster was talking about the whole "recent" Hot Coffee scandal like as if it was new when it was already a year old event that had since been resolved.  Anyone remember reading about that?

These people are obviously ignorant. Jack Thompson has obviously been extremely selective of what he's told them, and that he's obviously not told them about GP or let them read any of his legal filings.

I sometimes wish that Jack Thompson would become AN hero.

He couldn't have picked a quote that was further from fact about him.

A quote like that would be construed as a threat had it been directed at Jack.
