Anyone ever get extremely worried that politicians (who are paid by taxes out of your pockets) are wasting their time trying to fix nothing (a crime they imagined up) in a virtual game?

If rape were included as a player action (which I think most people would agree would be in very bad taste), there are existing mechanisms for classifying or banning the game.

But it's a make believe world.  Doesn't real world America have enough actual problems (dollar falling, flooding, an ongoing illegal war, a President who condones and abets war crimes) to solve before they clean up the virtual environments where they have no mandate?

I popose legislation that requires law makers to wear a lapel pin  that indicates their level of fear mongering.

ok, where did this come from all of a sudden?

1) If you're going to spout non-sense about so-called "depraved content" do so before the game is approved by the ESRB and released for sale to the public.

2) GTA4 has been out for how long now??? And she's throwing a hissy fit now? I thought we left all those (hypo)critical politicians behind when the game was officially released.

3) If you can't confirm said content in a game, how can you even consider accusing a game of having such content?

4) Why advocate for a law concerning better warning labels? I mean the ESRB one ones are pretty clear when it comes to the content of games, not many mistakes to make there.

While they're at it, they should remove the nonexistant pedophilia and beastiality from the game. Those two things are really screwing up the nonexistant minds of the nonexistant children who play them.

The worst bit is the fact that Slossburg is introducing legislation calling for better labeling, but can't even make a suggestion as to what those labels should say. You really shouldn't make any complaints about problems until you can offer a decent solution.
