Jack Thompson will be featured in an interview on the July 24th episode of the normally light-hearted Jace Hall show.
We don't think this one will be a walk in the park, however. The segment, according to Thompson, was filmed in a video game store in Salt Lake City. The likely-to-be-disbarred attorney was there recently to be honored by America's Freedom Festival. Why Thompson was feted remains a mystery, as officials of the festival have not responded to our requests for information.
As to Thompson's Jace Hall appearance, the show apparently provided two brief clips to Thompson, who forwarded them to GamePolitics (sorry, we have no clearance to make them generally available). Here's the dialogue:

Jace Hall: Having created mature-rated video games myself, and just listening to you, effectively I'm one of the damned, apparently.
Jack Thompson: Yes... permanently

GP: If you're not familiar with Jace Hall, he is co-founder of Monolith and a former VP at Warner Brothers. He has a long list of game projects to his credit.

I'm all for freedom of ttnet vitamin speech and allowing rent a car game makers to put whatever they want in games, but there's one thing about this app that has me scratching my head. I haven't made any big games (specificly because I lack the sheer dedication and talent to work on a game for about 120 hours/week) but I have spent 100s of hours making my own Half Life 2 maps. As for the Dark Knight, it's a fantastic movie. Best Batman yet. The violence isn't pointless. Its to show how ****** up the Joker is. I think Jack needs to reaquaint himself with the definition of comedy. Saying "You're going to Hell!" and claiming it's all in the name of comedy probably wouldn't fly with most people. He should probably brush up on the definition of satire too, while he's at it.

Jack's getting to the point where many cult leaders start saying they're better than Jesus, or they are Jesus. At that point bad things happen.
If I were in charge of a game development studio, especially T2, or game seller, I'd be beefing up security right about now. You know, like the Miami-Dade courts are.
Since we're all EVIL anyway--and not just gamers, but those who associate with or defend them--it's not much of a stretch to imagine Jack taking "justice" into his own hands. His final disbarment seems likely to push him over the edge completely, and it's getting more and more likely that people will die as a result (and not the way Jack believes).
I used to joke about Jack going on a killing spree and blaming games, but now I think it's getting more and more likely.
