Suspect Blames Fiery Motorcycle Chase on Video Games

Saw this on the news late last night and I knew I'd be seeing it here in the morning.

I hope they rip this guy a new one in court.  At the very least, the reporters covering the story last night seemed to think the notion as ridiculous as we all know it is.

does anybody think perhaps this could just be a  wise guy, who just said that as a sarcastic flippant comment?

I mean come on, somebody who does all that stuff is hardly an upstanding moral citizen with a great personality. 

I just think if cops asked him 'what the hell were you thinking?' and THAT was his response, that i wouldnt take it as actual motive, id just think the guy didnt feel responsible or take it seriously, n was just avoiding answering the real question.

Copycating video games?  Nope.

More like Copycatting the "blame game" excuse.

"Hey!  Look!  Other people are blaming bad behavior on video games!  And, hey, look!  Someone is even planning on putting up a website that will give me a How-To on blaming video games and other media!  Cool!  I don't have to be responsible for ANY of my actions!"

I could also see this as the actions of some supporters of Anti-video-game and Anti-media-we-don't-like to try to pad the so-called statistics justifying their false claims that video games are to blame.

While the second one is a pretty weird conspiracy theory (though I really wouldn't dismiss the actions of such sociopaths who tend to be the majority of such groups), I'd think the first one would be a greater possibility.

Jack Thompson would blame world war 2 on Call of Duty if he could, lets not lend any fuel to his pathetic fire and just not talk about him here, as soon as he is mentioned his heart starts racing and he spends a few days putting together a load of bile which he thinks is the most witty comment ever and those words alone will take down the videogame industry (which we are all part of mind you) and then goes away convinced that he has destroyed our morale completely and totally.

Or making us feel threatened with falsified court reports, letters and other things making it sound like he is rubbing shoulders with higher ups, he is the equivalent of the man who rings his own phone when he is out with his mates and says, "what no CANCEL the stocks meeting! I have to go see the head of ford motor company in an hour!"

That's all that should be said of Thompson now, he is a pathetic old man with no existence outside of this website and his worthless attacks on the videogame industry. Right now all that seems to be keeping him going is his own hatred and unwavering belief that he is right, even when faced with enough evidence to put the prime minister away for incompetence were it he who was saying these things.

On the subject of the crash, I think it is a sad situation, people should not be acting like this in any situation, and to blame it on entertainment media is cowardly and wrong, but people will do what people will do.
