Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

August 23, 2008 -

A 33-year-old North Carolina postal worker is under arrest after she traveled to Delaware in an attempt to kidnap the 50-something man who jilted her on Second Life.

As Destructoid reports, Kimberly Jernigan's romance with the man ended shortly after they met in real life:

...in the beginning of August, Kimberly allegedly drove to her ex-boyfriend's Pennsylvania workplace and attempted to kidnap the man at gunpoint. Apparently she couldn't even manage that successfully, and had to come back two weeks later and track him down to his Delaware home...

she lay in wait for him with a set of handcuffs, a roll of duct tape, a taser, a BB gun and her dog Gogi. Her foolproof scheme failed after the man simply ran away, having entered to find a laser beam pointed at his chest. Kimberley had fled soon after, but her dog was discovered bound in duct tape and abandoned in the bathroom to stop him making noise. She was found an hour later in Maryland and taken into custody after a "brief struggle" at a rest stop.

GP: Wait. She duct-taped the dog

Video reports here...

Gallagher can araç kiralama say all he wants, but I strongly rent a car believe it's due to his crappy leadership and E3 being a joke. ESA's Board of Directors need to find a way to get out rent a car of this horrid contract with this Bush cronie before there's no one left on the Board.

Btw, I think Atari and Midway will drop out too, but mostly travesti because  these guys have done nothing ttnet vitamin or little and need to start saving costs.

I just want to pet that dog and say it'll be alright... DEATH SENTENCE FOR DUCK TAPING A DOG! NOW!!! This woman is stupider than chris crocker, and thats far down...

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

And this is why I don't go into Second Life. You have people in there with less of a first life then I have, which is a scary thing to contemplate.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Does every new story have to end with coments about Jack Thompson?

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Yes, unfortunately, it is an inevitability that JT, or a forum troll pretending to be JT, posts here.

If you have links then show them.  I believe the proper phrase in this situation is: "Put up or shut up".

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Okay... if you're going to impersonate someone here are a few tips

1) learn their mannerisms. There's a reason why you are failing with such tremendous grace. It's because you type like a five year old. Jack Thompson, although he adores the / for whatever reason, types like he has a brain cell.

2) Don't change your name everyy five seconds. It gets old and tedius

3) If you are impersonating someone as a joke, it helps if others are IN ON THE JOKE WITH YOU, otherwise it's just sad.

Oh yes, and impersonating JT on this site is hardly the peak of originality.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

"Oh yes, and impersonating JT on this site is hardly the peak of originality."

Yeah man people have been doing that since the livejournal days. Anyone else remember Caveman Thompson's quest to outlaw fire?

If this really is JT I wanna see the links.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Hmmm, well it looks like the internet is the new murder stimulator to you punks, And this woman's life is a complete waste due to her false obession of love on Second life, She is reall wasting her life rotting it away to scum like you.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Not funny... feel free to cry about it.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Oh, shut the hell up already.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Jack Thompson is obsessed wit hthis website, and this is the first news story I have seen of someone form Second Life acting like this, ever.

Argument over.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

L2 Jack Thompson.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

What is with all the Jack copycats? It's the original or nothing for me.

It's just not lulzy when you know the guy writing it is not serious.

Headline should be...

"Woman believes in second chances with ex from second life."

"SL player finds duct tape insufficient to keep a hold of 'the one that got away."

etc.

Wow. Just wow.Duct taped the

Wow. Just wow.

Duct taped the dog?

I hope it went to a good home after this.

I think she could be charged for animal cruelty too XD

In addition for being charged as an "eternal dumbass".

I love it when the funny game news rolls around :P

Re: Wow. Just wow.Duct taped the

So do they: "The dog was said to be uninjured, but the SPCA is looking into possible charges of animal cruelty."

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Somebody should submit this to Fark, it sounds like something they'd enjoy.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Is it just me or does this sound like a sitcom? A lonely 50 something man trying to recover from the death of his wife a decade ago finally starts socialising again and getting into zany situations with women each week.

When he ran away, was Yakety Sax (AKA: Benny Hill chase music) playing?

What situations other than psycho stalker could he get into? Accidental arranged marriage, extreme sports nutjob, lazy eye woman, 'dude looks like a lady'...

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Behold the dark side of internet love... Sad and yet hilarious.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

A crazy woman's attempt at kidnapping and Obama choosing Biden: the only two times you'll ever see Delaware in the national news. *ba dum tish*

And before any Delawareans get their panties in a twist, just know that I have every right to make this joke. Why? Because I live there (or here...you know what I mean).

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

don't worry i hate this state, so i don't care if it's in the news. though i can say I can't wait for a hurricane to come up here & flush out the trailer park trash.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

I live there too and I agree with this post, except for one thing, I'm pretty sure Delaware was in the news when we were the first to sign the constitution.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

The only times Delaware has been in national news:

1) Biden

2) This story

3) The Constitution

4) Dover schools trying to include "intelligent design" in science class

5) When the people forced a family to move out of the Indian River School District because they were Jewish.

6) The episode of Cops where they showed the guy's trailer that looked like a UFO

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

there was also last year a serious of articles about a church full of retards rotesting at military funerals saying that the people died because God hated them...it wasn't all about DE, but it was partly.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

Finding crazy people on the internet? I'm shocked! I've had incidents with internet crazies, though none of them drove cross country to kidnap me.  Thank God for the block/ignore function most games have. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not.

As far as duct taping the dog... You got to remember you're not dealing with a rational human being here. You're dealing with someone who thinks completely different. In their mind, it was perfectly logical to duct tape the dog.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

That's...interesting...

Mostly, I just feel bad for the dog.

Re: Woman Tries to Kidnap Her Second Life Boyfriend - Twice

I too, feel bad for the dog.

This might seem odd, but I actually think it's good that video games bring out these tendencies in people.  If you're going to get so obsessed over a game that you'll resort to kidnapping, then I hope it happens sooner rather than later.  Let's get you into a locked cell as soon as possible, mmmkay?
