October 29, 2008 -
By now the story of how two innocent lines from the Qur'an delayed Little Big Planet's worldwide launch is well known.
While the delay made eager LBP fans sad, 2P Start webcomic has some fun with the fiasco. Click here for the full comic.

Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
A Hitler Sackboy is WAY more offensive to more people then a song with Quran passeges in it.
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Ha ha!
It is though this fictional representation of Sony has blundered OUT of the frying pan and IN to the fire, eh chum? As though they thought song lyrics were offensive and then made further misstep by offering a less apropos gift in return!
There's sweet irony! If only the intent of the author in this delightful illustration meant as much as to exagerrate the offensive nature of this censorship inspired delay. Why, Johnathon Swift himself might delight in such a clever horror.
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Yet ironically, given the choice between the two, I can guess which more people would want as a download
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Well of course, you can't do unspeakable, horrible things to a background song in the game. The sackboy on the other hand...
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
If you think that most gamers would want to do unspeakable, horrible things to a Hitler sackboy, I'm afraid you've underestimated the gaming community.
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Oh come on, how freaking funny would it be to see sackboy Hitler get crushed to death by a giant star of david?

Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Amusing no doubt, but I daresay it wouldn't be long until someone uploaded a level that was some sort of mix of hitler fighting his way out of virginia tech, stealing a plane and flying it into the twin towers. Sensitivity is not some peoples strong suit.
Then again your going to get that sort of thing hitler sackboy or not. Perhaps it could be the start of a series of sackboys, available next week, Churchill "we will run about flailing our arms and making amusing faces before jumping on their weak spot, on the beaches"... hasn't got as much of a ring to it.
Re: Webcomic Spoofs Little Big Planet Recall
Is there meant to be a joke in that comic strip? I think I must have missed it.
