Younger Half of Father-son Spy Duo Smuggled Russian $$$ in PlayStation Case

January 30, 2009 -

It's bad enough that rogue CIA agent Harold Nicholson (left) sold out his country for money. But it's simply unconscionable that Nicholson dragged his son into his traitorous world.

The New York Times reports that the FBI has charged Nicholson and his 24-year-old son Nathan with espionage.

From his jail cell, the elder Nicholson allegedly recruited his son to make contact with his former Russian handlers:

Prosecutors said Nathan Nicholson, a former Army paratrooper, had returned from his visits with the Russians with at least $35,000 in cash, some of it in a PlayStation video game case.

The money was intended in part to settle a “pension” that Harold Nicholson said was owed him from his days as a C.I.A. spy for the Russians before his arrest in 1996, the prosecutors said.

He tried using a 360, but the box broke down on his way to the airport.

Oh god I can see this being used in a movie.

Q: ... Bond, if you look over here you'll see a case that contains a game for the Playstation 3.

Bond: What will I use that for?

Q: That's a question even we can't answer... it's really just some rubbish that none of us have any use for.

Naw it all game related dont you see?  The games make us do all the bad things that happen in society (they are also apparently responsible for global warming and tsunami's).

Sorry I cannot maintain that level of stupidity for long.

On a more serious (and grim) note.  If this rogue agent's whereabouts are known I am all for ending his miserable existance.  I am with Dante (the Inferno) on this one.  The lowest levels of hell are reserved for betrayers (and possibly a special place for jackie thompson).

Re: Younger Half of Father-son Spy Duo Smuggled Russian $$$ in

He's American! If he was a proper Russian Spy, he wouldn't have been discovered until after his death.

He should of said that that was the money he saved by switching to Geico!

All he needed was a pair of eyes to put on it...  Those are only a few cents at a craft store.

Re: Younger Half of Father-son Spy Duo Smuggled Russian $$$ in

The reason they put the money in a PS3 case was only because nobody would have stolen it.

The Wii might not smuggle money, but it certainly prints it! ;D
