Bush took you from a surplus and 5 Trillion Dollars of Debt to over 10 Trillion dollars of debt (I think 11 Trillion by the time he left office on the 10th).  Obama is force to spend more to stablise the economy and stop companies from going under which would lead to unemployment, defaulting and loss of tax revenue as well as reduction in the power of the already weakened dollar.  Whilst spending to get out of trouble isn't ideal, you cannot complain about it when Bush spent during a time of growth and economic boom so greatly that you are nearly bankrupt as a nation.  Im afraid your math doesn't add up.

"...he's going to let our children inherit a war in Iraq, lose the war in Afghanistan..."  A war he was not responsible for conducting and is having to deal with.  Additionally, it is not possible to "win" any of these modern wars where you are not fighting a country but an insergency.  Seriously, some of you who bang on about winning in Iraq/Afghanistan really need to take a close look at what is actually going on.  The ultimate goal is to establish stability and have them self-govern.  You cannot stay in a country permenantly.

I have no words... Actually I shall try.  You are in America.  You, as a country, are meant to be a bastion of freedom and justice of which your founding fathers, the statue of liberty and your own constitution represent.  You are NOT meant to be torturing people after taking prisoners of war and then making up your own rules for trials which allows you to execute or permenantly detain those who have been locked up and psychologically stretched for up to 7 years with little or no evidence, and certainly illegally obtained.  Hypothetically, if you were to give me a gun, a cell, the means to waterboard you and mess with you for 7 years and I will have you admitting to things just to make it stop.  Guantanamo is an utter DISGRACE.  ANYONE who thinks otherwise is living in cloud cuckoo land or just frankly a disgusting human being.  Torture and breach of the most basic of human rights is NEVER the answer, infact it probably encourages terrorism.

Ironically, you close on a rant which in the final paragraph makes no sense at all.  Nuclear power *IS* the answer, alongside other such alternatives, and the EU is likely to push for it as it is being pushed for in the UK by a fair proportion of people, including myself.  That doesn't mean you stop investing in wave and wind farms, placing turbines and solar panels on rooftops, using less fuel hungry cars and moving to hydrogen based technology etc.  You don't have to become a hippy or burn money to combat global warming you know.  Additionally, don't keep implying this is all about the EU.  Global warming affects the whole world, which you are a part of.
