Disbarred-for-life Miami attorney Jack Thompson has dropped off the radar a good bit since his attempt to have video game legislation adopted in Utah earlier this year turned into an unforgettable mashup of soap opera, comedy and fail.
But a [possibly NSFW] promo video for the new season of Penn & Teller Bullshit! reminds us that Thompson will be appearing on the ShowTime series in coming weeks (did we hear July 9th?). Last September it was GamePolitics which broke the news that Thompson was being interviewed for P&TBS.
Thompson appears in the new season's promo video just long enough to utter a single line, but it's classic JT:
Grand Theft Auto is the worst assault on children since polio.

This is getting pretty sad. GP is becoming nothing more than a sensationalist site. When all the soccer moms pop onto google to see if JT is worth listening to, they'll come up on this site's vehement, violent, hateful accusations against him and think he's onto something.
All we're doing by paying any attentiont to him and flaming him on this site is empowering his agenda against us. Yes, he started it. Yes, he's a VERY nasty person, but no, our flaming him just gives his word credibility - that all gamers are nasty, aggressive, perverted people warped into who we are by violent video games.
He's full of shit, but saying it makes more people poke their heads down his throat to see for themselves, and in doing so they'll come upon sites like this that bash him and go crazy over what he says, and they'll see the crap that fills this man's soul in a new, softer, more favorable light.

Funny thing, many months ago when they filmed it...Jack had some crazy idea that it went well and that "we will be surprised". From the sounds of it, Jack is going to be excrementing solid fabricated stone and mortar blocks. I would love to see the reaction of Captain Jack of Miami after this episode is aired.
However... honestly...GTA is the worst assault on children since Polio? Wow... exaggeration much? Personally I think Teletubbies would be higher on that list :P

When Penn & Teller's film crews go out, the interviewee has no idea what show it's going to be on. That's the only way they can get people like jack to say what they want to hear.
I can guarantee that when JT found out what the footage was being used for, he sat down with his wife and started planning a public defamation suit. Hopefully his wife slap'd him and said "I TOLD YOU SO!"

It was Jack who announced he'd be on Penn and Tellers: Bullshit.. So he signed all the nice legal forms put before him for him to be put on the show, and had every chance to find out what kinda show P&T:BS is.
It'll be his own fault when they show him to be the buffoon and facist anti-parent freedom advocate he is.

Except Penn and Teller said they give out past episodes to people they interview and make it clear what side they'll be on. Hell JT himself said in the comments that he knew what type of show they do, he's seen some episodes and that he knew the risks.
So tell me what evidence do you have that they don't?

I'm sure they'll screw this episode up by bringing up the idea of legislation against "thought crime", as Penn did when he talked about RapeLay. I'm 100% sure of it, mainly because they are libertarians and have their heads so firmly shoved up their own asses when it comes to behavioural psychology and legislative process in regards to behavioural psychology.

You haven't really gone too much into your argument in any of your posts besides calling penn and teller jackasses, and heads up their asses and so on.
I'd like you to describe clearly and concisely how charging someone who plays/posesses RapeLay is not a thought crime. Zero people are harmed from their consumption of RapeLay, and if they are being charged because they MIGHT rape someone (or otherwise sexually assault them) then that is a thought crime, plain and simple.

The crime rates in Japan are also incredibly low, does it have to do with the censorring of violent video games? Hardly, in fact it has nothing to do with it. It is a cultural and social thing, same goes for the incredibly high suicide rates.

I fired a gun when I was younger than that. What's the problem?
Had full adult supervision. Had lined up targets to try to hit. All safety measures were taken.
Of course, I was taught at an early age to RESPECT guns and to NEVER EVER think they were toys.
