A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge has approved the sale of Midway to Warner Bros. for $33 million, reports the Chicago Tribune.
No other bids were submitted.
The decision apparently ends Mortal Kombat film producer Larry Kasanoff's bid to lay claim to much of the MK series' IP. In a story broken by GamePolitics last week, Kasanoff claimed that "the Mortal Kombat series, as it stands today, is far more a creation of... Kasanoff than of Midway."

Mortal Kombat 9 or what ever the next one is will be M rated.

Bugs Bunny vs. Scorpion FIGHT!

Debates are like merry go rounds. Two people take their positions then they go through the same points over and over and over again. Then when it's over they have the same positions they started in.
Re: Midway Sale to Warner Bros. Gains Court Approval
Now the question begs, would it be more epic to see Scorpion get an anvil on his head, or see Bugs get his limbs torn of.
Re: Midway Sale to Warner Bros. Gains Court Approval
That sir, is a question for the ages.

Re: Midway Sale to Warner Bros. Gains Court Approval
I hoped that people liked MK vs. DC Universe, cuz we'll most likely get a sequel now.

Re: Midway Sale to Warner Bros. Gains Court Approval
I didn't buy it for 2 reasons:
1) I do not own neither a 360 or a PS3. No PC version was produced so no reason to buy.
2) If I did own a 360 or a PS3, or a PC version was produced, I still wouldn't buy it knowing I'd be purchasing a censored product. I mean, I might as well import it from Australia, aka: Censor Capital.

It was only censored because of DC not wanting excessive gore associated with their brands. I can respect that.

Mortal Kombat vs Looney Toons?
Re: Midway Sale to Warner Bros. Gains Court Approval
I like it, probaly the best 3D MK game in a while, but it lack content to hold me in the game. Hopefully a sequal will fix it.

It actually did remind me of classic MK, not to mention the Joker was in the game(Though I wish Space Ghost was in the game).
Maybe they'll do MK vs Looney Tunes(Bugs Bunny vs Liu Kang, Lola Bunny vs Sonya Blade, Daffy Duck vs Sub-Zero, Wile E. Coyote vs Jax, Sylvester vs Scorpion, and (For you Tiny Toons fans) Babs Bunny vs Kitana)

Glad to see Midway saved by Warner Brothers. Hopfully they can increase the quality of Mortal Kombat now.
