Activision CEO Cashes In

November 13, 2009

Hot on the heels of trememdous first-day sales for the controversial sequel Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision's CEO and a member of the Activision board have exercised some lucrative stock options.

According to a Gameindustry.biz report, CEO Bobby Kotick made more than $20 million this week when he exercised options on close to 1.93 million shares of stock. The options, dated from April 18, 2000, allowed him to buy the shares for $1.03 and sell them for between $11.43 and $11.54.

Also this week, director Brian Kelly exercised options he received in 2004 and 2006 to clear about $10.5 million.

Re: Activision CEO Cashes In

Good for them.....Although I think that money would be better given to the writers, producers, animation team & so on for their hard work on this game. But there is enough money going around for the ceo's & cfo's of alot of companies right now. But Activision & Infinity Ward have earned their money & not poking the government for money.......HA HA HA!!!! That's why games will always prosper, like the porn industry. HA HA HA!!!!!

Re: Activision CEO Cashes In

Here's an idea: If you see Activision in a headline, don't read it. They've been in the news a lot lately with their music games and MW2. Should we not cover it as news just because you are tired of the topic?

Now be a nice little troll and crawl back under your bridge. I'll find a nice Activision nose blowing story to feed you next week.

;)

Re: Activision CEO Cashes In

Print shit, expect shitty comments. Not my fault it's a slow news day for you. You may have been trying to be smart-arse, but you sure weren't smart enough to not feed the troll.

ah, but I knew I was feeding you. Even muck-divers need to eat. Every good site has its trolls and we try to take care of ours.

Re: Activision CEO Cashes In

Also, if you could maybe report on Koticks bowel-movements I'd be much obliged, especially if you can give details on what he ate the day before.

If the value of his shit runs into the millions, most certainly.

DorthLousPassed 1.5M$. And I'd also say that Brutal Legend is far from being a bad game. I just think it was a few levels under what people expected from the people working on the project.02/11/2012 - 8:25am
TechnogeekBrutal Legend wasn't bad so much as "marketing had no idea how the game actually played", causing it to suffer accordingly.02/10/2012 - 10:38pm
