A UK psychologist has blamed videogames, among other media, for the sexualization of young girls.
Dr. Linda Papadopoulos (pictured), a clinical psychologist at London Metropolitan University, who has also appeared on TV shows such as Big Brother and the Celebrity Fit Club, called out games that contain high sexual content as “hypersexualising girls, telling them that their desirability relies on being desired.”
In a story in the London Evening Standard she specifically called out the browser-based game Miss Bimbo as an offender. The game entices girls to “Become the hottest, coolest most intelligent and talented bimbo the world has ever known!”
Papadopoulos’ comments were taken from an upcoming government inquiry into the subject, which will be published shortly. In her report, Papadopoulosis is expected to call for a labeling system to be slapped on airbrushed images used in media and an age limit for the some of the more racy men's magazines.

I fail to see how removing the gendered expectations that are levied against men and women is an affront to society or men as individuals.

You could very well be right about that, but that would be an example of equal treatment rather than special treatment. I have never heard a feminist advocate for the former to be applied universally in all aspects of life in a way that is similar to your example of "removing the gendered expectations that are levied against men and women". I have however seen every feminist I've ever met clamor for the latter in almost every instance of possible human interaction. I've never heard a feminist say "give me a draft card", but I hear feminists say "we should allot more federal funding to research and prevention of breast cancer than to prostate cancer"--despite the fact that according to the CDC, prostate cancer kills more men per year than breast cancer kills women.

The feminists I've met tend to get annoyed with breast cancer research because it seems to constantly focus on saving tits and not the lives of the women attached to them.
Also I'd suggest getting off a college campus, the loudest, newest, and the least coherent of any group tend to congregate there.
I also wish you luck in the application of your law degree, hopefully you won't encounter to many issue that my non existent feminists work against. Hopefully you won't be called names like "Bitch" or "Bull Dyke" behind your back because you are just as capable, assertive, and aggressive as your male peers. Hopefully you won't be passed over for promotions and raises because of the boys club and because the actions that would garner you respect if you were a man, but make you seem unfeminine. I hope you won't be subject to a hostile work environment.
In the meantime all the feminists that you don't know about will continue fighting for your rights.

So first you complain that generalizations were made, and then you go and make a generalization about the entire legal profession yourself. Nice. Not to mention you go on and make it personal where I didn't. Score one for civility.
Not that I have to explain myself to you, but I've been all over the place in all different sorts of locales and I've seen what I was talking about on and off of collegel campuses. If you honestly think that the profession I've worked my way into by the sweat of my own brow is what you say it is in your comment, then maybe you should get off of a college campus.
EDIT: And oh yeah, give me a draft card. Better yet, let the self-defense laws apply to me in the same way that they apply to a man so that I can't claim self-defense after I shoot my hypothetical husband in the back as he's walking out the door or set him on fire while he's sleeping.

This attitude really makes it a lot harder for us who aren't white males. Personally I've never (formally) cried foul, but there are plenty of small things that make me question whether I'm getting fair treatment. The most aggravating example being that in spite of keeping my hair well maintained and at about 2 inches in length I still have had coworkers that I shouldn't have been hired looking like that, though many of my male peers have nearly shoulder length hair. To make matters worse, I've had one of these males with shoulder length hair apologize to me because he wouldn't have interviewed me if I was applying for one of his jobs. Given how I've never been in actual violation of dress code, it really makes me wonder.
Fortunately, I have posts like yours to remind me that I'll simply be belittled if I cry foul.

Well, I made a dumb generalization. I shuouldn´t. Some weeks ago I "discuss" with a feminist about how media is so evil against woman for the same reasons this doctor is whinning and she sent me wall text after wall text and never admited that things are not the same as 20 years ago, as I sugest. I just abandoned the conversation. Maybe I´m angry with that.
I consider I´m not sexist, but under the standards of that people, I´m a pig.

This coming from a woman who endorses Big Brother, a show that puts out the message that you don't need talent, education or brains because none of that is more important than being on TV. In point of fact, she's calling out a browser game where two of the apparent objectives are to be TALENTED AND INTELLIGENT.
And on top of that, Celebrity Fit Club, a show about shaming people into losing weight.
She's just a rent-a-doc who likes the attention.
