Girl Takes Boyfriend’s PlayStation, Chase & Arrest Ensue

A Pennsylvania man was arrested on a variety of charges after his live-in girlfriend, enraged that the unemployed man was playing games all day, snatched his PlayStation and took off in her car.

42-year old Darren Suchon took off after Colleen Frable down Route 248, driving her 1996 Porsche. According to a story on the Morning Call, Suchon was “waving his arms and yelling, trying to get her to pull over,” and when she eventually stopped at a traffic light, his car rear ended hers.

Suchon was yelling at Frable “to give him the PlayStation and trying to force down her driver side window.” Two men from a nearby business came out, scaring off Suchon.

Frable had reportedly taken Suchon’s console to work with her before in a bid to curb her boyfriend's gaming. Suchon said that he, “…just wanted the game, I would never hurt her. I just wanted the game."

The man was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct, reckless driving and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He is currently in Northampton County Prison with bail set at $25,000.

 Of course not: He is a male, and according to most laws and lawmakers in the US, any male in a domestic dispute is immediately guilty.

Sorry, that's a bit of a stretch: The first person to file charges wins, because law enforcement and judges are too damn lazy to actually investigate. Which is why when my buddy had his ex-girl flip out on him, beat him, hit him, stab him with a knife, and try to run him over (he found her cheating and told her he was leaving), the cops arrested HIM. Because she filed charges first. Even though they had to take him to the ER, he had defensive wounds, and she didn't have a single scratch or bruise. She stalked him and sent him threatening texts for months, and he wound up paying almost $6000 so far in legal fees and bail.

In this case, I can almost guarantee she won't be charged, prosecuted, or found guilty in any way. Though were their situations reversed, he would probably still be the one in jail. Ain't the law great?!

She should have been charged and she bears 50% of the responsbility for this asinine behavior. They both sound like losers to me.

Ok, I'm not defending this guy's actions, but, he was just her boyfriend, not her husband.

If she had such a huge problem with his gaming she should have just dumped him.

True. It would've been much better than doing something to aggravate such a man, but I get the feeling, now that I think of it, that there's something more to this than what we currently know. Like, that perhaps Ms. Frable was looking to teach her boyfriend a lesson, and had the intention of fencing the game system?

I just hope he doesn't prove to be so unstable that when he eventually gets out of jail, he doesn't decide to get a little "revenge", if you know what I mean.

First things first, so we can get this out the way:  Great photo choice.

This could all have been avoided if she didn't take the PlayStation in the first place, I'm just saying.

Assuming that he was speeding (defined as reckless driving at ~15 over the limit, depending on your jurisidction) while chasing her, it can logically be presumed that she was doing the same, and thus is just as liable for reckless driving charges (which will probably never come).

Likewise, because she took the PlayStation without permission... twice, it can constitute charges of theft... which - again - will likely never happen. Harrassment is also applicable towards her as well.

Simple assault, he never touched her according to the articles. Where was the assault?

I won't even get started on the potential charges of incitement for taking his PlayStation in the first place.

Seriously, not playing devil's advocate by any means, I'm just saying that charges can run both ways on this one.

At least she didn't video tape herself destroying the console like some of the chicks on YouTube. Despite his claims of not wanting to hurt her, I have no doubt her life would be in danger if she'd gone that route. The man is clearly not very stable.

Probably not.  This guy does not sound stable enough to file a police report.... and his over the top reaction would likely not endear the police to help him.

The PlayStation's likely be held as evidence against him anyway, so I doubt he could do anything legally to try to reclaim it.
