Xwerx Sponsors Charity Drive for Get Well Gamers

December 9, 2010

Xwerx is celebrating the launch of its new controller enhancement product by hosting a charity event and holiday season campaign to benifit California-based charity Get-Well Gamers.

The charity part of the campaign will be highlighted at the launch party for XtendPlay on December 15 at Powersurge, a new gaming venue in Los Angeles. Xwerx's XtendPlay is an oddly shaped (it looks like your controller is wearing a Snuggie) controller enhancement for Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers.

While the add-on might look a little odd, its makers claim that it offers specific functions for hardcore gamers such as a "Soft-touch fleXlite" shape to keeps fingers and hands relaxed, airflow channels that keep hands cool and dry, and a design (size and shape) that offers comfort in any playing in any position.

Attendees are encouraged to bring used games and games equipment to donate to Get-Well Gamers. Guests will also be able to play with Raymond "Stallion83" Cox, the world's highest-scoring gamer on Xbox LIVE and spokesman of XtendPlay. In addition to the launch event, Xwerx will donate a portion of each product sold during the holidays to Get-Well Gamers Foundation.

In case you do not know, Get-Well Gamers is an international charity dedicated to bringing electronic entertainment to children in long-term healthcare facilities. More information on Get Well Gamers can be found at www.getwellgamers.org.

XtendPlay is currently available for pre-order at the price of $19.99 USD, with orders shipping beginning in mid-December. You can learn more about it at www.xwerxonline.com.
