Stubbs Alderton & Markiles LLP Promotes Game Attorney Steve Goldstein

Los Angeles-based law firm Stubbs Alderton & Markiles LLP announced the promotion of Steve Goldstein to Partner. Steve Goldstein is a video game industry attorney and former business development executive who joined the company in 2008. Why his promotion is important to note is because he will now head up the firm's Interactive Entertainment and Video Games Practice Group as its Chair. Before joining the firm in late 2008, Goldstein spent the prior three years as the Director of Business Development and General Counsel for Flagship Studios.

"Steve Goldstein has been an invaluable addition to our team. His intense knowledge and his extensive relationships and reputation in the video game industry have helped to position our Interactive Entertainment and Video Game practice as one of the best in the industry," said Scott Alderton, Managing Partner at Stubbs Alderton and Markiles LLP. "Louis is an outstanding and technically excellent lawyer who has definitely earned his elevation to Partner with the contributions he has made in growing our corporate and securities practice."

The Firm claims that its video game clients include Curse, Inc. (one of the largest game portals on the Internet), Riot Games (League of Legends), Runic Games (Torchlight), sekretagent Productions Inc. (Assassin's Creed franchise), Raptr, Undead Labs, and Turtle Rock Studios (Left 4 Dead).

On a related note the firm promoted and Louis Wharton to Partner as weel and Jonathan Friedman, an associate of the Firm in the corporate securities practice was promoted to Senior Counsel.
