IGDA Summit Speakers Revealed

The Independent Game Developers Association will host an event for video game industry professionals on July 18-19 in Seattle and it has lined up a number of big companies to give talks and share wisdom on a variety of important topics. The inaugural IGDA Summit will take place prior to Casual Connect (July 19-21) at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The IGDA Summit joins a number of other IGDA events including the Leadership Forums in Los Angeles and Copenhagen in October.

"Building off the success of our indie program at PAX East in Boston, we decided to host a West Coast conference in conjunction with CasualConnect," said IGDA executive director Gordon Bellamy.

The Summit will feature tracks and sessions related to the development community, the art of games writing, quality of life issues, entrepreneurship and monetization, and more. Speakers that have committed to the event include former Xbox division boss and Finger Prints CEO Ed Fries, Valve's director of business development Jason Holtman, Zynga's senior user researcher Kevin Keeker, and Take-Two Interactive's executive vice president and general counsel Seth Krause.

Tickets for the Summit are priced at $199 for registered IGDA members. Details on pricing and packages can be found at igda.org.
