The Child's Play 2011 Charity Drive officially kicked off this week, targeting a goal of around $2 million in donations. The charity created by Penny Arcade is dedicated to bringing games and gaming hardware to sick children in hospitals around the world. So far, over $450,000 in donations have already been received this year. To date Child's Play has raised a total of $9 million since its launch in 2003.
A charity auction and dinner for Child's Play will take place on December 8, with a $145-per-seat ticket price. That will take place at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington.
Those interested in donating to Child's Play can do so via PayPal, by texting GAMERS to 50555, or by mailing them a check directly. Naturally there will be plenty of opportunities to participate in events and happenings within the community that also support the charity.
