Alleged Duckload.com Cyberlocker Site Operator Finally Arrested

In the summer of this year law enforcement agencies in several European countries conducted raids and made arrests related to movie streaming links portal Kino.to and file-hosting sites such as Duckload.com. Duckload lost 400 servers to police, worth more than 2 million dollars in total. While police managed to nab most of the targets they were looking for one man managed to escape apprehension. The net has finally fallen on that man. After five months of evading police the man known believed to be Tim C has been arrested in Germany. Tim C is allegedly the operator of the file-hosting service Duckload. After the raids on servers in June, the people operating the Duckload.com domain redirected traffic to Video2k.tv, a completely free video streaming portal.

Reports from the German anti-piracy outfit GVU also link Tim C to Kinoo.to, a clone of Video2k.tv that was launched little over a week ago. Alexander Baumgärtner, the alleged owner of the German company behind Kinoo.to told TorrentFreak at the time that they had acquired the Kino.to domain name for 1.5 million euros. While arrest this weekend puts all the suspects in the Kino.to investigation under wraps, other Kino.to successors such as Kinox.to are still online, and growing rapidly, according to TorrentFreak.
