Horde 4 Charity 48-Hour Marathon Begins Today

Six men in Scotland are going to war this weekend, but the fight isn't for the survival of the human race - it's for a good cause. They will take part in a 48-hour Gears of War marathon to benefit their favorite charity. The six combatants taking part in the 48 hour Horde 4 Charity event are Sean Kiddie, Colin Henderson, Alistair Cowan, Kyle Hatch, Stephen King (not the horror writer), and Neil Castle. From November 18 - 20 six Gears of War fans will play 48 consecutive hours of Insanity level Horde Mode for the Skylight Miscarriage Organization (www.skylightmiscarriage.org.uk - Charity Code: SC045573).

The entire 48 hours of hardcore antics will be streamed live on Justin.tv (www.justin.tv/horde4charity) as well as tweeted on the Gears 4 Charity Twitter and live blogged on the group's Facebook page.

While everyone is encouraged to watch, tweet, and post comments to the combatants, the goal is to drive donations during the event via PayPal. For more info on Horde 4 Charity, check out horde4charity.blogspot.com.
