Marketing firm BlueKai has compiled the profile of the typical iPad buyer, listing three traits that land in the "highly likely to buy" category. The data shows that the typical iPad buyer owns a pet, is male, and is a frequent purchaser and player of video games. Health care professionals, international travelers, apartment dwellers and organic food fans also scored high on the list. The firm also found that vitamin takers, domestic business travelers, married couples and college graduates had common attributes of iPad owners.
BlueKai created an infographic to reflect its findings, including a few bits of data from other research firms. You can check out the full infographic at Apple Insider.

Re: Who is the Typical iPad Buyer?
As a 31 (soon to be 32 year old) male pet owner, I'm still happy with my Android tablet and glad I bought it over the iPad2. I do like the design of the iPad, but it wasn't able to adapt to other devices as well if they were not Apple as well and greatly limited me for memory.
It is an interesting chart to look at though to see the breakdown and think about how friends of mine that did buy the iPad fit into it. But in the end, it always comes down to an individual and what they need over how large a market one device can cover.
