The fabled 2011 Dashboard update has been delayed slightly by Microsoft. It was set to go live today, but according to a tweet by Microsoft's Larry Hyrb at 7 am ET, the update had been pushed back.
"The timing for Xbox 360 dashboard update has been slightly delayed," said Hyrb. "I’ll have a status update later today."
"We are still working to get the release out," Larry Hyrb said later. "Stay tuned, we’ll have an update this afternoon on when it will begin rolling out."
His most recent tweet promises a status update this afternoon:
"We are still working to get the release out. Stay tuned, we’ll have an update this afternoon (PT) on when it will begin rolling out."
We'll let you know more when information becomes available. The update is supposed to add new services into the mix as well as Bing integration, and more refined Kinect support for navigation.
