On December 2 we told you that video game charity Get-Well Gamers Foundation would be celebrating its 10th anniversary on December 3 with a special holiday event supported by IGDA LA (the International Game Developers' Association's Los Angeles Chapter) and WIGI (Women in Games International). The celebration commemorated ten years of helping sick kids by giving them toys and games to keep their minds off their medical treatments and serious illnesses.
So how did the party turn out? Besides being a lot of fun for all that attended, the charity managed to raise $500 in cash and an additional $1,000 in merchandise. The proceeds will go to the Get-Well Gamers’ continuing cause of putting smiles on sick kids' faces. Representatives from Raytheon, GE Healthcare, Shadylogic Studios, PlayWerks, Inc., USC, Halcton Innovations, Atari, Konami, and Techtonic Games also took part in the event.
