It was about two weeks ago that Halo 4 developer 343 Industries warned gamers that any Halo 4 sites offering access to a beta were fake. One such site, Halo4beta.net, is now feeling the wrath of Microsoft's legal team, according to Fusible.
The company filed a complaint (Case No. 1426106) with the National Arbitration Forum. After the complaint was filed the operators of Halo4beta.net took the website down, but Microsoft is aiming to get the National Arbitration Panel to transfer the site's domain name to them.
Microsoft is not always heavy-handed when it comes to domain names; it paid the owner of Halo4.com an undisclosed amount of money to take ownership of it instead of filing a complaint.
Halo 4 is set for a Holiday 2012 release.
