Epic to Preview Unreal Engine 4 to Partners at GDC 2012

Epic Games revealed its plans for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) which will include a preview of Unreal Engine 4 game engine technology, planned press sessions, and participation in various panels and discussion. Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski will also serve as the host for the Game Developer Choice Awards.

While Epic won't show it out the floor, Unreal Engine 4 will be shown off to select licensees, partners and prospective customers during the exhibition. The Unreal Engine 4 preview will be by appointment only and participants will have to sign non-disclosure agreement to see the presentation.

Epic will also host free "advanced training sessions" for its game engine licensees, with reps from Epic Games Korea, Epic Games Japan and Yingpei Games (formerly Epic Games China) on hand to speak with licensees and prospective customers from those regions. Epic’s expo suite will be open on Wednesday, March 7, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Friday, March 9, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Epic will also host a media briefings on Wednesday, March 7, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., and Thursday, March 8, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. in its private expo suite.
