EA to Shut Down Dragon Age: Legends

May 21, 2012

Electronic Arts announced today that it will close its Dragon Age social game Dragon Age Legends in June. The free-to-play web-based RPG was launched in March of 2011 slightly before the release of Dragon Age II. The game was available on Google + and Facebook.

EA did not say why it was shutting the game down, but it falls in line with the practice of terminating online games it feels are long in the tooth or unpopular. On the plus side, EA plans to release a downloadable, single-player only version of the game at some point for those who want to continue playing it or who have not played it yet...

When they release the stand-alone version of the game we'll let you know.

LOL @ a single player version. The game sucked big time, and was only used as a promotional tool, if i remember correctly. It was an advertising game.
