Report: Sony's Manhattan Skyscraper For Sale

June 13, 2012 -

Apparently Sony owns a skyscraper in Manhattan, and according to this NY Post story they are looking to unload it for a pretty penny or two... According to the NY Post Sony is in talks with commercial real estate broker Newmark Grubb Knight Frank for the potential sale of the building at 55th and Madison Avenue.

The company is considering all options for the 37-story building, according to the report, including selling it outright or leasing all or part of it to anyone interested in the property. Of course, no plan of attack was settled on, according to the NY Post, who also say the building is worth between $700 million and $1 billion.

Will we see Sony's NYC building on an episode of Bravo's Million Dollar Listings New York? We hope so, only to see just how much Sony can get for such a valuable piece of real estate. Then again, perhaps this building is just too much for any of those brokers to handle...
