According to the Kickstarter page for OUYA, Namco Bandai is in active discussions with the company to bring some of its franchises to the Android-powered $99 console.
"Namco Bandai brings with it a rich history of iconic gaming franchises, from classics like Pac-Man and Galaga, to seminal franchises like Tekken and Ridge Racer," said vice president of marketing Carlson Choi, "and we're excited to explore how we can work with Ouya to bring some great titles to the forthcoming console."
The project update also revealed that Ouya will support up to four controllers.
"What's the point of playing in the living room if the other folks on the couch can't join in?" Ouya founder Julie Urhman said.
OUYA will also support Plex, a XBMC spin-off media center app. Yesterday it was revealed that OUYA was working with the XBMC development team.
As of this writing, OUYA has garnered $7.8 million in pledges for funding. The Kickstarter ends early Thursday morning.
