Games Industry International announced today that it has acquired the GameHorizon Conference and business network, with plans for the launch of a new event in December of 2013. GameHorizon is a leading business network for UK-based games companies including developers, publishers, and middleware makers. GameHorizon is in its fifth year. This year's event was chaired by Charles Cecil and featured sessions from Unity's David Helgason, Torsten Reil of NaturalMotion, CCP's David Reid and Eidos life president Ian Livingstone.
"GameHorizon has established a reputation for being one of the best venues for games industry executives to hear about the latest developments in the business and network with their peers," said Rupert Loman, MD of Eurogamer Network, owner of GamesIndustry International. "We're excited to be taking on the brand and look forward to announcing our plans for it soon."
GameHorizon will be unveiled at a special networking event taking place in Newcastle, England on December 5, in association with Game Republic.
