DecodeDC Kickstarter Campaign Begins

September 26, 2012 -

Former National Public Radio congressional correspondent Andrea Seabrook has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her new show, DecodeDC. Seabrook calls her new show "a new way to cover Washington." In other words, coverage that tosses aside the stupid Red State v. Blue State narrative and spin and looks at how the system is working for the American people. Here's what Seabrook says about the Kickstarter:

"Our goal is to raise $75,000. If we get there, we'll produce thirty episodes of DecodeDC, plus do all that behind-the-scenes stuff you never hear about. Like run servers and use high quality software and recording equipment. Most important, the seed money will keep our chins just above water -- enough to eat ramen only a few nights a week."

As of this writing, the DecodeDC Kickstarter has already raised $4,654 of its $75,000 goal from 80 backers, with 23 days to go. If you'd like to contribute, check out the Kickstarter page. You can watch the pitch video to your left.
