Another day, another milestone met for Mojang's ultra popular sandbox building game, Minecraft. It has managed to surpass the 8 million sales mark on the PC platform, according to a tweet from Mojang co-founder and Minecraft creator Markus 'Notch' Persson.
"The PC version of Minecraft just passed 8 million sales," said series Persson via Twitter.
"My face is making grinning sounds, so I assume it's grinning," he added.
The PC version of the game sold a million copies since it hit its last milestone of 7 million in August. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition recently surpassed four million sales as of October 1, according to developer 4J Studios.

well, not much to say other then congratulations to Notch, he has achieved what many indie game developers dream off: making a living off their games. And not only that, but making Mojang into a company. I honestly thought sales would start to die down by now, but man was I wrong! Now, will Minecraft reach 10 million sales? I guess we'll find out
