Humble THQ Bundle Rakes in Over $2.3 Million

November 30, 2012 -

Only a day after being offered, the Humble THQ Bundle has managed to garner $2.38 million in sales (and climbing even as we write this). The pay-what-you-want THQ bundle managed to do this despite the fact that it doesn't offer Mac and Linux versions of the game (which many are not happy about). Nevertheless, the sale shows that big publishers can get in on the action and make some cash.

The bundle includes Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, Metro 2033, Red Faction: Armageddon, and Saints Row: The Third (if you pay over the average price). The current average price is $5.69 and the supported charities include the American Red Cross and Child's Play.

You can learn more about the bundle at www.humblebundle.com.

I'm going to bet the average price would be higher if there were Mac and Linux versions available.

I would not bet against you. It is well known that Mac users pay a few dollars to 1.5 times the amount of Windows users and Linux users almost double Windows users on average.

A "few days"? This thing came out yesterday. Also, as of me making this comment, the bundle is only at slightly under than $2.3 million
