An update to the OUYA Kickstarter page reveals that the tiny little Android-based console that raised millions in crowd-funding will be available in select retail stores, with some even offering pre-orders.
"We have some good news today," the update reads. "Because of the support for OUYA you showed, some of our favorite stores are going to carry OUYA when it officially launches to the public in June."
"Just so you know, you're still getting yours as promised, before they're ever in stores," the update continues. "Wanted to be sure you heard that from us."
Retailers carrying the OUYA ($99 each) and an additional controller ($49.99 each) are Target, GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon.com. You can find links to the pre-order pages of these retailers at shop.ouya.tv.
In case you have been living under a rock or in a coma for the last several months, the OUYA raised over $8.5 million during its Kickstarter campaign. Those that put down money early will receive the console long before it hits retail space.
