Jake Solomon and the team at Firaxis Games have put together a video asking the community to watch them at this year's Game Developers Choice Awards at the Game Developers Conference in late March. From there the video kind of goes off the rails.
The point of the video is to urge you to vote for XCOM: Enemy Unknown so it can come out on top in the Game Developers Choice Audience Award. Given that this game is full of awesomeness (my personal opinion) I don't have a problem with whatever tactics they need to employ...

You aren't missing much at all. I have watched one video and it was enough to turn me off of it. Gagnum Style was far more worthy of its memeness.
