Can You Guess Which Developer’s Games Are in the Humble Double Fine Bundle?

May 7, 2013 -

Believe it or not, the (mostly) clean-shaven gentleman in the video to your left is Double Fine's Tim Schafer.  Uncle Tim comes to us today to promote Humble Bundle's new Humble Bundle.

Why would he do that?

Because Humble Bundle's new Humble Bundle is chockful of Double Fine goodness that has been bundled together most humbly.  And he wants you to buy them!

How much?  Well, that's up to you.  Whatever you pay (so long as it's more than zero, you silly goose) you will get Psychonauts (plus its soundtrack and score*), Costume Quest and Stacking.  Pay more than the average (currently $8) and you'll get Brütal Legend and its soundtrack as well!

But that's not all!  Pay $35 or more and you'll get the Kickstarted Double Fine Adventure, Broken Age (when it's done) plus access to the backer forums and the ongoing behind-the-scenes documentary covering the production of the game.  Yes, an additional $27 will get you what everyone else already paid $15 for.

What's that?  You have a metric crap-ton of money in your wallet and you don't know what to do with it?  Give it to me!  If that idea doesn't float your boat, send $70 or more Humble Bundle's way and you'll get...

...in addition to EVERYTHING ELSE...

*drumroll*

A T-SHIRT!

Holy licorice-flavored jam on a stick!  Can you believe the value!  You can even choose your own color (as long as you want black or cream).

Every game is DRM-free and available for Windows, Mac and Linux so head over to Humble Bundle and decide how you want your money divided up among Double Fine, Humble Bundle, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Child's Play Charity.

*Yes, there's a difference.

Re: Can You Guess Which Developer’s Games Are in the Humble ...

It's a pretty dang good bundle honestly. While Psychonauts has been in a bundle before, I'll easily forgive it as 1. It's a criminally overlooked game and 2. It's a developer-centric bundle.

Despite owning 2 of the 4 games (and not being horribly interested in Costume Quest) I already tossed them $5 just as appreciation.

Yes, an additional $27 will get you what everyone else already paid $15 for.

I would expect that a later purchase would cost more than an earlier one when it comes to preorders. That is one of the benefits of buying early in some cases. Of course, after the final retail release, I would expect the price to begin shifting in the opposite direction.

However, for Linux users who like to pay more than the average Linux price, then it is only a $20 increase. I think that is fair.

You could also look at it like this:

  • $15 for Broken Age
  • $5 for Costume Quest
  • $5 for Psychonauts
  • $5 for Stacking
  • $5 for Brutal Legend
  • $35 total.

At least that seems to be the thinking behind the pricing.

Now the t-shirt, I am not paying that much, but with the number of people who pay more that $100, it's just gravy.
