According to an MCV report, even the most recognizable and popular titles on the Android-based $99 Ouya platform have yet to make more than $50,000 on their games.
One of the most popular games on the system right now - Matt Thorson's TowerFall - has barely cracked the $30,000 mark. Speaking to Edge Thorson says that he has sold right around 2,000 copies of this popular game at $15 a pop. That puts his sales at right around $30,000.
Another popular game, Nimble Quest, has moved a lot more copies of the game; the free version has been downloaded 6,508 times, but the full version of the games has only been sold 122 times for a total profit of $427.
Finally, the twin stick shooter Red has sold "just below 400" copies.
TowerFall’s Thorson is upbeat about the numbers, noting that -at the very least - being on the Ouya has helped get his game a lot of attention.
"Sales have been surprisingly high for a new game on a new console," he stated. "The response has been amazing. A lot of high profile people in games have been praising the game, which is of course fantastic, and there’s been a lot of talk among gamers as well. Launching on Ouya got me a lot of attention, and the sales have been better than expected."

Re: The Bleak Software Sales Numbers of Ouya Games
Nimblebit is the developer and Nimble Quest is the game. Nimble Quest is a Snake/RPG hybrid which is cute, but not a lot of fun to play. It is more of a mobile game than something you would play on a console.
I think the thing that we can actually learn from this is that quality and fun games sell well even at a premium price. Could Towerfall sold better at a $10 price? Probably, but $15 is still a good price and the game is well worth it.
