Zynga's Mark Pincus is 'Bored with Games'

October 2, 2013 - GamePolitics Staff

Zynga co-founder Mark Pincus recently said that he's bored with games. Pincus made his comments during a Q&A at a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup called Garage Geeks that he was visiting. Pincus took questions from attendees and was asked by Israeli venture capitalist Yossi Vardi what his current favorite games were.

"Right now, I'm pretty bored with all games," Pincus replied, according to a Wall Street Journal writer attending the event.

Vardi asked Pincus to elaborate or explain his remark, but Pincus stood by his statement claiming that he hadn't been obsessed with a game since the days of Farmville and Cityville.

"I want that addiction again,” he said.

Pincus handed over the job of CEO to Don Mattrick back in August, but remains on the company's board of directors and serves as its Chief Product Officer.

It's probably not a good sign when a co-founder of a company that makes games for a living is admitting publicly that he has become complacent about playing games...

Re: Zynga's Mark Pincus is 'Bored with Games'

Games have lost their appeal for Mark ever since he began his new hobby which only requires copious amounts of cocaine and couple of sets of call-girl breasts to snort it off of.
