Double Fine will host a special event with the help of iam8bit called Day of the Devs on November 2. Free to the public, the special event will let the general public rub elbows with the wonderful folks at Double Fine (as well as other indie developers) and give them hands-on access to the Kickstarter-funded game Broken Age (Double Fine Adventures) and an unannounced title from the developer.
"It's basically all of our favorite people in one place, for a night of awesome games, food, music, happiness, and creativity," Double Fine president and CEO Tim Schafer said. "Essentially, a Night of 1,000 Hugs."
Other developers will take part in the event as well. Games from Supergiant Games, Capybara Games, Gaijin Games, SpyParty, Honeyslug, and Tribute Games will be on display at the event, and merchandise will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be nearby for people to enjoy, and drinks will be served.
But perhaps the most interesting thing happening at the event is that Fez creator Phil Fish will be on hand to serve as the event's official DJ.

Day of the Devs will take place at Public Works at 161 Erie St. in San Francisco from 4-8 p.m. on November 2. The event is free to attend, though no one under 21 will be allowed in, likely due to alcohol being on-site.
