GTA V Tops Sept. Retail Sales Charts

Grand Theft Auto V was the top selling game in September, according to data released by retail research firm NPD Group. Given how well the game performed in its first three days of release - generating over $1 billion in sales to become the best selling game of all time - this should come as a shock to no one.

The biggest changes come in the hardware sector where Wii U sales tripled month-over-month after a $50 drop, and the PS3 finally managed to outsell the Xbox 360, which was on top of the market month-to-month for 32 months. The success of the PS3 this month was largely due to a PS3-exclusive GTAV hardware bundle...

The 3DS remained top overall hardware seller for the fifth consecutive month. The 3DS will have a better October, thanks to the recent release of the 2DS which is a lot cheaper and the retail release of Pokémon X & Y...

Never!

Or, well, I guess I'll knock it off when this For Everything But Wii U thing is no longer a thing.  Considering new consoles are coming out soon, that'll probably be in about a year.
