Blitz Games Founders Launch New Studio

November 27, 2013 - GamePolitics Staff

It looks like the remnants of Blitz Games Studios live on with the formation of a brand new company called Radiant Worlds. Blitz Games shut down in September of this year citing a number of challenges including "frustrations with clients, the global economic crisis," and their "fair share of simple bad luck."

Co-founders Philip and Andrew Oliver closed down Blitz in September after 23 years in the business, but now the brothers have opened Radiant Worlds, according to Develop. The brothers are joined by former Blitz COO Richard Smithies as well and 50 new employees. Details on the studio are thin at this time - for example, we do not know how many of those 50 employees are former Blitz Games staffers, or what the company plans to focus on as its core business.
