Campaign to Help Blizzard Dev Fight Cancer Generates Over $20K

December 27, 2013 - GamePolitics Staff

The YouCaring crowd-funding campaign to raise funds for Ron Nakada, the Senior Software Engineer at Blizzard Entertainment who is battling through Stage IV colon cancer, has gone from just over $10,000 to over $20,000 since Christmas Eve. The campaign launched by inXile employee John Alvarado is just $4,475 shy of its $25,000 goal, with 30 days left to go.

A number of stories on the campaign here on GamePolitics, Kotaku, and on Polygon have helped drive lots of people to the campaign. The gaming community continues to show that it is the most generous and caring community on the planet.

If you haven't already, please give whatever you can to help Ron and his family out. Or if you can't help out with a financial donation, simply share the link on Facebook, Google + and Twitter to get the word out.

Thanks to everyone who donated.
