Ad Council Releases its First In-House Created Game, Toothsavers

January 16, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

The Ad Council, the country’s largest producer of public service advertising, has created and released its first in-house game called Toothsavers. The game is designed to encourage children to brush their teeth for at least two minutes, two times a day. The game was developed with the aid and input of Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives.

Toothsavers, available for iOS and Android devices, promises ten colorful characters, simple game mechanics that kids will have no trouble learning, 10 different two-minute animations that teach kids that brushing their teeth can be a fun activity, ten teeth that children can animate with their voices, an interactive map to chart each day and night a child brushes their teeth using the app, unlockable content as rewards, and a section for parents to designate daily brushing routines and to monitor their child's progress.

The game is available free of charge at 2min2x.org/toothsavers for iOS and Android devices (smart phones and tablets) or played via the web at 2min2x.org/PlayToothsavers.
