Kill Screen Brings Gaming to IBM's dev@Pulse

February 7, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Kill Screen Magazine has been tapped by IBM to curate two days' worth of video game related content during the company's dev@Pulse event. Kill Screen has put together a line-up of speakers including Jenova Chen, founder, thatgamecompany; Phoenix Perry, co-founder, Code Liberation; and IGF-nominated designers Jake Elliott (Kentucky Route Zero) and Robin Arnott (SoundSelf).

Kill Screen has also put together an Oculus Rift arcade featuring some of the "best VR work in the world," and a game design workshop led by Diablo 3 lead designer and SimCity creative director Stone Librande. More events and speakers are to be announced.

Outside of games and gaming the dev@Pulse event will also feature talks from Kickstarter co-founder Charles Adler, Girls Who Code CEO Reshma Saujani, and OpenStack Foundation executive director Jonathan Bryce. A Code Jam will also take place during the event, challenging developers to build an AI worthy of first place in an open-source racing competition.

Kill Screen also notes that those who attend the event will also have access to the Pulse Palooza party in the MGM Grand Arena for free. Performing will be Fall Out Boy and Elvis Costello.

Registration for the event is completely free, and if you use the code KILLSCREEN14 on the registration page you'll get added perks such as including priority registration for the seminars.
