Dungeon Defenders and Civilization Revolution Free in March on Xbox Live

February 28, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

A new post on Major Nelson's blog (Xbox Live's Larry Hryb) has revealed the next two free games you'll be able to download in March as part of Microsoft's ongoing free-game-giveaway program, Games With Gold. The free monthly game giveaway is for those who subscribe to Xbox Live Gold memberships.

The games for March are Dungeon Defenders and Civilization Revolution. Civilization Revolution will be the first game out of the gate, available on March 1. It normally costs $30 but you can get it for free up until March 15. On March 16 you'll be able to download the co-op action-RPG Dungeon Defenders.

Once downloaded, both Civilization Revolution and Dungeon Defenders are yours forever, even if your Xbox Live Gold account is discontinued at a later date. Visit Xbox.com or log onto Xbox Live for more details...

The bargain is in the bin, somewhere.

Games with gold seems to me, a cheap version of Playstation Plus, which I know I can't expect great games every month but Sony is planning on releasing Tomb Raider in March, after giving away Bioshock: Infinite the month before. Besides old triple a titles that are hardly relevant anymore, the only thing Xbox releases are indie or arcade titles and wished that they would at least try once in a while.

I got Metro Last Light off of there recently, and Quantum Conundrum.
