SOE Delays 'All Access Pass' Program By Two Weeks

February 28, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Sony Online Entertainment says that it will delay its plans to launch its "All Access" pricing scheme to the middle of April. The announcement was made by SOE President John Smedley. The All Access pricing plan, which gives subscribers to all of SOE's games for one monthly subscription fee, was set for launch on April 2. Smedley said that there was just too much stuff left to finish to hit the April 2 deadline.

SOE currently operates EverQuest, EverQuest 2, EverQuest Next, PlanetSide 2, DC Universe Online, PoxNora, Free Realms, and Star Wars: Clone Adventures. By paying a monthly flat fee consumers would get access to all of these games. The company made the decision to move to this new model after announcing it would be shutting down four of its games: Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures and Free Realms will shut down by March 31, and Wizardry Online and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes by July 31.
