EA Delays Xbox 360 Version of Titanfall By Two More Weeks

March 19, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Electronic Arts announced today that it has delayed the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall for an additional two weeks. Executive vice president of EA Studios Patrick Söderlund confirmed a further two week delay to the game, which will now hit North America on April 8 and Europe on April 11. The Xbox One and PC versions of the game were launched on March 11.

"I've been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic," he said in a statement. "But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we're giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players."

The Xbox 360 version of the game is being developed Bluepoint Games. This is the second time this year that the game has been delayed.

"The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game," he continued. "We appreciate everyone's patience as we get the last details right."

Hopefully this will be the last time the game gets delayed.

Wait, they've opted to delay the game's release for the 360 to "do things better" in it which probably could easily be done via a patch...? Because if it can't be done via patch, they're talking changing the engine or something, which means the 360 version would be an 'improved' version of the XBone and PC versions, right...?

maybe because xbox's patches are notorious for being expensive? or at least were?
