SOE Highlights 'Landmark' Player Creations in New Video

May 2, 2014 - GamePolitcs Staff

Sony Online Entertainment has released a short video highlighting some of the things that players have been building and discovering in Landmark. Also, today SOE officially opened submissions for its "Landmarks of Landmark" competition, a challenge that offers the chance for some builders to have their creations prominently featured as permanent additions to the online game world. More details on that can be found here.

In case you don't know, Landmark is a persistent world where players can claim a piece of land and start creating voxel based structures using the same tools used by the game's developers. Some of this content can be monetized and sold to the community for real-world money.

You can learn more about the game by checking out SOE's handy dandy FAQ.

Re: SOE Highlights 'Landmark' Player Creations in New Video

I'm increasingly becoming convinced that Landmark will be "permanent beta" based on this time-limited beta key thing they have now. If it were REALLY a beta, you'd want reliable and knowledgeable people testing your game. Seems to me that the time-limited beta is no different then a time-limited trial MMOs use to get people to buy the full game. And by saying it's "beta" they can get away with whatever bugs they don't care to fix while still charging people to access this allegedly F2P game.
